Using the conventional dating hotspots could cost you in excess of $100 a night. Bars and nightclubs if that’s your usual “hunting ground” are unlikely to cost you less than this unless you restrict your presence to the “Happy Hour” time.

What do you think your chances or choices are during the time these venues are not at their busiest and remember – you’ve just got an hour to meet someone you like and ask them for a date! Maybe you like a challenge?

Seriously though these environments will cost you a great deal of money especially when you add in the cost of drinks for you and for other potential dates that you meet. The cost doesn’t end there of course because you have had to get there too and the cost of filling up your tank will have set you back quite a few dollars more!

To cap it all there’s no guarantee that all the money, time and effort  you’ve spent in just one night will lead to a successful conclusion – finding a date.

Online dating – THE cheapest of cheap date ideas!

Online dating at least in the initial stages when you are simply looking around to find suitable candidates to date will cost you zilch. Compare that to the cost of taking a look around in a bar or a nightclub and you’ll probably get the idea!

Adding your personal profile is usually free too and if done properly is probably the best way of all to create interest in you.

Although some dating sites are completely free I would suggest the best are not and are likely to have fewer scammers with fictitious profiles-after all why would a scammer want to spend money on a pay site when there are lots of free ones out there?

Once you decide who you’d like to contact you can sending them a flirt to “test the water” won’t cost you a dime either. You will probably receive a few flirts  and in response to your flirts and from others who have seen your profile and want to make contact. Remember up to this stage  it has cost you nothing.

It is only the next stage – communicating with other members by email, audio chat or video chat that will require you to pay for a subscription. Even here dating sites with a typical monthly subscription of $30 or a dollar a day are far far cheaper than bars and nightclubs!

The other great thing about dating sites is that by the time you decide to meet someone for a first date it is more likely to result in success because you have had time to really get to know them. You will have had lots of time to chat about what interests you and what you have in common. Contrast this with arranging a date with someone you have met in a bar or nightclub where you have had little or no time to do this and the chances of success on a first date are pretty slim.

All things considered online dating is out of all the cheap date ideas you can think of the probably the best because it’s much much cheaper than conventional dating and offers you a far greater chance of finding your ideal partner.
